Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF)

Ofqual-regulated qualification awarded by Focus Awards. The core qualification for adult care workers with supervisory experience who are already working in the sector — lead adult care workers, lead personal assistants and similar roles.

Who this qualification is for

This qualification is aimed at learners with supervisory experience who are already working within the care sector. It builds the practical knowledge and skills expected of a lead adult care worker in care settings across England.

Focus Awards sets no formal entry requirements. Learners should be aged 16 or over.

Qualification structure

Learners achieve a total of 58 credits: 28 credits from the mandatory units and a minimum of 30 credits from the optional units. A minimum of 46 credits must be at Level 3.

How you are assessed

The qualification is internally assessed. You build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of every learning outcome and assessment criterion. Evidence can include assessor observation, witness testimony, learner products, worksheets, assignments and projects, records of oral and written questioning, learner and peer reports, and recognition of prior learning.
